TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — President Joe Biden will travel to Jordan on Wednesday to meet with Arab leaders following his trip to Israel as concerns increase that the raging Israel-Hamas war could expand into a larger regional conflict.White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said Monday evening that Biden would go to Jordan where he would meet with King Abdullah, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. “We’ve been crystal clear about the need for humanitarian aid to be able to continue to flow into Gaza. That has been a consistent call by President Biden and certainly by this entire administration,” Kirby said. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced Biden’s travel to Israel as the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip grows more dire and as Israel prepares for a possible ground attack on the 141-square-mile (365-square-kilometer) territory to root out Hamas militants responsible for what U.S. and Israeli official...Lions’ road to success this season paved with wins away from home

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — Dan Campbell doesn’t have to think long when asked to compare the Detroit Lions fanbase to others he’s seen across the NFL.“I’ve never seen anything like this,” Campbell said Monday after Lions fans turned out at Raymond James Stadium during Sunday’s 20-6 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. “I played in Dallas, and Dallas travels well, but not like this.“In the second half, it was so loud when (Tampa Bay)’s offense was out there, I swear I thought they might go to a silent cadence.”The Lions are 3-0 on the road during their 5-1 start, including prime-time Thursday night wins at both Arrowhead Stadium and Lambeau Field — two of the league’s best-known venues.“They weren’t really road games — at least they didn’t feel like it,” he said. “If you want to build a winning team, the first step is being able to win on the road. That’s a mindset — going on the road and it is just you against the other t...Cowboys and Chargers players engage in pregame scuffle before Monday night’s game

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Any hope that the Arizona Cardinals might overachieve this season is fading quickly. The Cardinals (1-5) fell to the Los Angeles Rams 26-9 on Sunday, with the Rams scoring 20 unanswered points after halftime. Arizona has been outscored 51-12 in the second half during their current three-game losing streak.“It’s hard as hell to win an NFL football game, man,” Cardinals defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter said Sunday. That’s particularly true for the rebuilding Cardinals, who don’t have a ton of talent to cover up mistakes.Joshua Dobbs struggled, completing 21 of 41 passes for 235 yards and had two turnovers in the fourth quarter, including an interception and a lost fumble. The Cardinals had a handful of promising drives stall in the red zone, settling for three field goals in the first half.“It starts with me in the red zone because that’s such an important area of the field,” Dobbs said. “You work so hard to get down there, man.
