WINNIPEG, Manitoba — Marc-Andre Fleury made 46 saves and the Minnesota Wild extended their points streak to 11 games with a 4-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday night. The Wild are 9-0-2 in their last 11 games. Fleury has victories in his last four starts, stopping 119 of the 124 shots he has faced.“Our goaltender won the hockey game for us,” Minnesota coach Dean Evason said. While Evason was thankful for Fleury’s solid performance, he was more concerned about Wild leading scorer Kirill Kaprizov, who hit the ice after getting tangled with Winnipeg’s 6-foot-7 defenseman Logan Stanley and left the game in the third period.Evason didn’t have an update on Kaprizov immediately after the game.“He was able to skate off, so I guess if there’s a positive that was one of them,” the coach said.Marcus Foligno had a goal and assist, and Frederick Gaudreau, Ryan Hartman and Mason Shaw also scored for the Wild (37-21-7). SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- District Attorney Brooke Jenkins is reversing her effort to change San Francisco’s sanctuary city policy. Her announcement on Wednesday was a part of her effort to get two men extradited from other countries and be brought back to the city for prosecution. The Department of Homeland Security told Jenkins federal officials could arrest and bring the two suspects, both accused of murder and rape, back to the city only if city officials agreed to notify ICE if either suspect makes bail or is released from custody for any reason.Jenkins said she received major pushback from community members and immigrant rights activists expressing concerns. "At that time, I felt it was my obligation to seek justice for these victims and do so expeditiously,” said Jenkins. At least 3 Palestinians killed in Israeli military raid

Published Mon, 10 Mar 2025 09:56:02 GMT

JERUSALEM (AP) — At least three Palestinians were killed on Thursday, Palestinian officials said, after Israeli security forces raided a village in the northern occupied West Bank. The Israeli military did not immediately offer comment on the raid into the village of Jaba, south of the flashpoint city of Jenin. The Palestinian Health Ministry did not identify the dead, but said they were shot by Israeli fire during an Israeli military operation. For the past few months, the village of Jaba has been home to a fledgling militant group of disillusioned young Palestinians who have taken up guns against Israel’s open-ended occupation, now in its 56th year. The group is part of a larger trend of emerging armed groups across the West Bank that have defied the increasingly unpopular Palestinian Authority and claim no ties to any specific political party. The past two months have been marked by escalating violence across the West Bank.Source
