DENVER (KDVR) -- The City and County of Denver is activating its cold weather shelter plan and opening up warming centers this weekend. The warming shelters will be in the ballroom of New Directions (the former Best Western hotel), 4595 Quebec St., and the Denver Coliseum, 4600 Humboldt St. These spots in Colorado have winter weather advisories in effect Both locations will be open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. DENVER (KDVR) -- A woman was identified in a shooting that occurred at about 9 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the Denver Police Department.In a post to X, formerly Twitter, DPD said it was investigating a shooting in the 700 block of South Kearney Street, part of the Washington Virginia Vale neighborhood.
