CHICAGO — A woman died Wednesday morning following a house fire in Roseland.At around 6:40 a.m., authorities upgraded the fire, located in the 300 block of West 108th Street, to a still-and-box alarm.Chicago fire initially arrived on the report of a person trapped.A woman in her 50s died as a result of the fire. WASHINGTON (AP) — The remains of a U.S. Army corporal killed during the Korean War have been identified 73 years after he was declared missing and was awarded the Medal of Honor for bravery, U.S. and South Korean officials said Wednesday.Luther H. Story of Buena Vista, Georgia was posthumously awarded the nation's highest military award for his actions during an intense attack by the North Korean army on Sept. 1, 1950.U.S. officials said that Story “fearlessly stood in the middle of the road, throwing grenades into the truck. Out of grenades, he crawled to his squad, gathered up additional grenades, and again attacked the vehicle.”He was wounded in action and stayed behind so that his company could get to safety.“When last seen he was firing every weapon available and fighting off another hostile assault,” U.S. officials said.Story's remains could not be identified, and Gen. DANBY, Vt. (NEWS10) -- Vermont State Police are currently investigating the death of a resident from Danby. Police say Ransom Goodell IV, 47, was servicing a commercial lawnmower when it fell on him, causing him significant injuries. Life-saving efforts were performed by emergency services, but Goodell was pronounced dead a short time later. Alexa Bartell, 20 (Provided by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department)Jefferson County Sheriff’s investigators have arrested three 18-year-old suspects from Arvada in the rock-throwing death of 20-year-old Alexa Bartell.The investigators made the arrests during the night at Arvada homes and officials early Wednesday announced they’d taken the three into custody. Officials identified the suspects as Joseph Koenig, Nicholas “Mitch” Karol-Chik, and Zachary Kwak. In a news release, officials said the three will face charges of first-degree murder with extreme indifference.All three are suspected of throwing rocks, and additional charges are expected to be filed, pending determinations by the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office, authorities said.A suspect vehicle has been identified — a black 2016 Chevy Silverado, authorities said.
