Police: Man arrested after shooting in NW Miami-Dade also stole transit bus in downtown Miami

Police said a man who was arrested in connection to the shooting of two people in Northwest Miami-Dade was the same person who stole a transit bus in downtown Miami and abandoned it in the middle of traffic.Lekambrick Hanna appeared before a judge on Sunday to face charges of second-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder and tampering with evidence.But that wasn’t all. Police said he also was the culprit behind a stolen Miami-Dade Transit bus late Friday night, as well as an earlier attempted armed carjacking.If Hanna looks familiar, that’s because, police said, he pulled a similar stunt in May. Two men are facing more than a dozen charges each for a string of alleged home renovation scams in Toronto dating back to March of this year.Toronto police allege the crimes occurred between March and September and involved suspects going door-to-door offering renovation services to homeowners.Police say the suspects would use “deceptive and high pressure tactics” to get hired for roofing and masonry work.The victims would pay the suspects, but police say the work was never completed and there would often be damage caused to a victim’s home. A new fast-food delivery option is taking flight in the Sunshine State.A Chick-fil-A location in Brandon, Florida, about 15 miles east of Tampa, now offers drone delivery. The restaurant announced the new feature on its Facebook page on Monday. According to the Tampa Bay Times, the restaurant partnered with DroneUp to offer the service. DroneUp, a Virginia-based company that also works with retailers, launched a similar delivery option at select Walmart stores in the Tampa and Orlando areas in December 2022.
